Focus of Practice
Mr. Rittenhouse has over twenty-five years of trial and appellate experience in all manner of insurance defense cases.
Mr. Rittenhouse has represented insureds in a wide variety of complex cases. He has represented several carriers on coverage cases. He has represented clients in cases involving professional liability, product liability, construction accidents, premises liability, municipal and public entity liability, vehicular accidents, libel and slander, wrongful discharge of employees, and municipalities in defense of 1983 actions.
Mr. Rittenhouse is also an experienced employment litigator, defending clients both before the EEOC, Illinois Department of Human Rights, and in Federal Court on matters involving claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII (racial, religious discrimination, and sexual harassment), and Illinois Human Rights Act.
