Prior to joining Mulherin, Rehfeldt & Varchetto, P.C.,
Ms. Reid served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Shelvin Hall, while Judge Hall was a trial judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County. While a judicial extern, Ms. Reid assisted Judge Hall in research relative to motions in limine, jury instructions and other issues concerning the myriad of trials presided over by Judge Hall, including medical malpractice matters, premises liability actions, and lawsuits against local governmental and municipal entities.
Focus of Practice
Ms. Reid has experience in a wide variety of civil litigation practice areas in both the state court and federal court venues, including construction accident litigation, product liability, medical malpractice defense, long term care facility and nursing home defense, commercial and residential premises liability, municipal and public entity liability, including Section 1983 lawsuits. Her main areas of concentration, however, include the defense of personal injury and discrimination claims for a variety of self-insured businesses and national insurance carriers in both the state and federal venues, as well as the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
